Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: We needed all three to get Clay, Sara, baby Will, brother John, and beagle Camden home for the holidays. Hilarious.

Grand Central Station, Dec. 2012

The Beacon Theatre to see The National
(my Christmas present to Clay)

Will LOVES escalators AND Aunt Blaire!
(Uniqlo Store Fifth Avenue)
We LOVED having Clay's brother John in town with us for a couple days before we all headed south together. Will was getting a little tired of me taking pictures, though :-).
This was our rental car. Yup, a rose Nissan Cube. When Clay came back from picking it up from the rental company, I literally laughed out loud. We were already a traveling circus, but piling us and all our stuff in this baby for 13 hours and 745 miles made it official.
Ah, the things we do for education.

Camden loved that Will pulled his ear the entire way home.
Crossing the GW bridge. See ya in 2012, New York!

We arrived in Louisville, enjoyed 36 hours of rest, yummy food, and awesome family, and then the four of us boarded a plane for Austin, Texas!
Thank God for airport playgrounds! Poor Will deserved to be able to move around!

Merry Christmas 2012! We made it to Texas!
Ah, we love it here.

At 18 months old, Will understood the concept of opening presents, but he was definitely more interested in the ribbon, paper, and boxes than the treasures hidden inside.
Thanks to the generous and thoughtful Gahans, there were MANY treasures hidden inside wrapping paper this year!
A sweet moment with Daddy.
Uncle John couldn't be cooler. He came all the way from Azerbaijan for the holidays, he put up with us all being in the same car for 13 hours, he happily visited Louisville with us on the way to Texas, and he made us laugh and smile the entire 10 days we spent with him. Love him.
The Gahan Boys.
Love our family!!!
Will loved Grandaddy's lap game.
Every kid needs a few pictures of himself in the bathtub, right?
Merry Christmas Eve!
Throughout the service, Will kept trying to climb onto the altar and go see his Grandaddy. He is a true toddler these days, wanting to run and climb everywhere.
Woah. The minister looks a lot like Grandaddy.
Only in Texas can you pet horses in your backyard. Amazing.
Will is excited to (try to) feed himself these days. He does pretty well until he remembers that spoons and forks can also be used as catapults. Now everyone who eats with Will needs a bib!
Enjoying some time in Austin's Zilker Park.
We LOVED our time in Texas with the Gahans and we miss them terribly already. Texas always means warm weather, insanely delicious food, good movies, fun shopping (outlets!), enjoyable workouts, and the best company in the world: the family we love and cherish so much.
Being with them makes our hearts smile.
